Alexander Hails Keepers' Efforts
Graham Alexander has hailed the performance of keeper Scott Davies as we lifted ourselves into eighth place after our 1-0 win at Torquay.
Speaking to the press following the game that saw Jon Parkin find the net in three consecutive games, the boss was under no illusions as to where to lay the praise.
'Scott has had to earn his money and that's what he's there for. It was pleasing for him and pleasing for us as a team to keep another clean sheet.'
Alexander says he was 'ecstatic' because he knew this would be a tough game, and it's a rather long journey to make - and it's not a journey you want to make twice if you come away with nothing from the game.
He also thinks that we should've scored a second because he still doesn't see what was wrong with our disallowed goal and really put the match to bed, despite the pressure we withstood from Torquay.
