Alexander - We Can't Start Like That

Alexander - We Can't Start Like That

Graham Alexander has said our first half performance was to blame the loss against Aldershot, and that he wants to see a marked improvement against Cheltenham.

Speaking to the Official Site following the game, the manager talked about his disappointment.

'The first 45 minutes was not acceptable by any stretch, we wasted half a game. All this way to give that, it's just not acceptable. We have to learn from this and we have to learn quickly, because we cannot carry on playing as we did in that first 45 minutes. We weren't competitive, we didn't pass the ball, we just didn't do anything we expect off a professional football team. Second half we showed a lot more, but then things went against us.'

His second disappointment from the game came from our red cards which ended any hope we had of getting back into the match, as Alexander believes until then the second half showing could have rescued us at least a point.
