'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Maxwell Looking Forward To Wembley Return

Goalkeeper Chris Maxwell more than played his part over the play off semi finals helping us to the final following our victory over York, and he's said he can't wait to walk out on to the Wembley pitch again having been there twice last season with Wrexham.

The 23 year old spent much of the season on loan at Cambridge United, and was in fine form for them, and has been an ever present since returning, keeping ten clean sheets so far.

Speaking to the Official Site with our place in the Final assured, he said.

'It's a fantastic achievement. I think it's difficult when you're in play off games as anything can happen, but we've justified it over the last two games, and together as a unit we were solid and showed a lot of strength as a team. It's going to be an exciting day!'

Obviously Matty Blair got the all important goal over his former side, and Maxwell says any goal, however it goes in, is vitally important and he knows that we have done well so far, but we haven't achieved anything yet so we have to keep our 'heads on' and focus on the game against Burton now at Wembley because the battle isn't over yet and the players are more than aware of that.

Obviously we now face Burton Albion as they overcame Southend United in their play off semi final with the 2nd leg taking place earlier today.

Maxwell's been great since he came back, didn't think that we'd see him back playing for us this season when he went out on loan. He's got Wembley experience and that'll help.
