Sarcevic - Nothing Will Beat This

Sarcevic - Nothing Will Beat This

Play Off Final match winner Antoni Sarcevic has said that 'nothing will top' the feeling he felt when he scored the winning goal yesterday against Burton Albion to send Fleetwood Town into League One.

Speaking to the Official Site the 22 year old midfielder who joined us from Chester last summer said.

'I just wanted to get it in at that time of the game, it was just important to get the ball in, but the keeper has misjudged it and it's gone in. I'm just over the moon.'

Sarcevic goes on to say that Fleetwood just had to remain patient in the match and focus on their game plan rather than letting the atmosphere and the occasion get to them, and he knows we created the chances on the day that could've seen us take the lead far earlier than we did and he acknowledges that when he did score that fortunate goal, Burton were probably having their best spell of the game really, but overall he felt our performance deserved the win.

'We were always in control and we fully deserved it. Obviously you want to go up automatically, but this is the best way to go up. I hold my promotion with Chester high, but nothing will top this. I have just scored the winner at Wembley.'

Sarcevic goes on to say that Nathan Pond was winding up him after he scored, saying that it wasn't his goal because he got a flick on it and so on, but all joking aside 'it's the best feeling you can ask for' adding that with his family there it made it even more special for him but he didn't dare look his mother as the emotion could well have overtaken him.

Well done that man!
