Terek Grozney 3-2 Fleetwood

Terek Grozney 3-2 Fleetwood

Manager Graham Alexander was hoping for a tough test in our first pre season friendly of the training camp in Austria, and Grozney certainly proved to be that coming out as three two winners yesterday.

Fleetwood made the perfect start in the game against the Russian Premier League side, as Ryan Cresswell scored the opening goal, however they quickly fought back to level terms before Nathan Pond unfortunately put the ball into our own net.

We came back out at the break two one down, and we certainly fought to get back on level terms, showing the spirit in the team that served us well last campaign, and it finally went our way with substitute David Ball lobbing their keeper to get the match to two all.

However Grozney got what proved to be the winner with only two minutes remaining on the clock, and with so little time left, we couldn't get ourselves back level.

It was a stranger formation from the gaffer though as we only used a lone striker throughout the game as he mixed things up a touch.
