Alexander Pleased With Austria Trip
Manager Graham Alexander has looked back at our trip to Austria, and the games we took in, and he's been delighted with our progress over pre season so far.
Praising the players for their 'first class attitude' the gaffer told the Official Site.
'It's been a great workout in both games. The Russian team (Grosney) on Wednesday, we knew they were going to be very good, being a Russian Premier League team. I thought the lads did ever so well.'
Alexander goes on to say that despite knowing roughly what to expect from Grosny, we didn't have a lead up on Pinzgau, but having seen the game they are a decent side and they proved to be another good run out for us as well.
'We were slightly apprehensive that it wouldn't be as big a test as we needed at this time, but it was and we saw some good stuff. Some of the lads got valuable minutes under their belt, which is what it's about, and the attitudes shown by the lads have been first class.'
The gaffer goes on to add that the Austria camp really is a great environment to put the hard work in, and the players have been doing that with three sessions a day, and the folks at Overtraun really do look after everybody so it's hard, but enjoyable and helps raise spirits as well, and now he's looking forward to finishing out schedule in good shape and then seeing what the season brings.
