Cod Army Preview: Fleetwood v Chesterfield

Cod Army Preview: Fleetwood v Chesterfield

Can we keep our 100% start to the League 1 season in place on Saturday?

Fleetwood are back at Highbury this weekend when Chesterfield look to become the first side to take any points of us, we'll be hoping they can't!

Nathan Pond could be forced to miss a rare game, he hasn't missed many at the seven levels he's played for us at but a knee injury will see a decision made on him later today or ahead of the game tomorrow.

The ankle problem that Stephen Dobbie suffered on his debut is keeping him out with Jamille Matt of course not playing again this season.

Mark Roberts played an U21 game this week but he'll not be ready for his first team return yet.

Chesterfield veteran Ritchie Humphreys (knee) will miss out along with Drew Talbot's groin problem keeping him out until Christmas after he suffered a setback.

Armand Gnanduillet, Ollie Banks, Jay O'Shea and Dan Gardner are over injuries but not fit enough.

I don't want to push my luck, I'm sure I said this before our last game, but we can't win again can we? Or can we? Confidence should be high enough for us to keep our unbeaten League 1 record alive if we play to our best.

Chesterfield aren't going to be easy though.
