Cod Army Preview: Fleetwood v Morecambe

Fleetwood will look to go one better in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy this season as we start our bid against rivals Morecambe at Highbury on Tuesday.

Graham Alexander is likely to rotate the squad. Mark Roberts was able to make it among the substitutes in the draw with Leyton Orient, he could well come in for his first appearances this season.

Injury keeps out Keith Southern, Jeff Hughes and Jamille Matt (leg) with Conor McLaughlin on Northern Ireland duty.

Morecambe will be missing the suspended Mark Hughes after his sending off in Morecambe's first defeat of the season on Saturday. Andy Parrish and Ryan Edwards could return from injury but Laurence Wilson is still missing.

Now that we're playing in League 1, and another promotion would be more of a priority, Alexander might not take this competition quite as seriously this season but I'd hope he will still want to win.
